Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Michael Rill can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Mike Rollin
Condolence: I have had the privilege of knowing Mike since he joined Import Administration back in the 1980s. His laid-back contemplative approach to the many questions and problems he faced each day at the office projected a calming atmosphere that eased the daily stresses of antidumping work. On top of his substantive contributions, which are too many to count, Mike's understated but wry sense of humor could be counted on to bring out a smile when needed. I am really going to miss having two "Mike R's" in the office. I offer my heartfelt condolences to Anne and the rest of Mike's family.

Condolence: I've known Mike for at least 20 years through work and can say without hesitation that he is one of the most kind, patient, intelligent, and fair-minded people I have ever known. I fondly remember traveling to Russia with Mike on a stressful work trip. His calm steady presence not only made the trip more bearable, but actually made it enjoyable. I will greatly miss Mike on both a professional and a personal level. My condolences go out to Anne and the rest of the family. Mike will never be forgotten.

Condolence From: John C. Kalitka
Condolence: I've worked for Mike for almost ten years. He was a gentleman, a very fair and supportive supervisor, and by all accounts, well-liked by all those who knew him. He always seemed to have such a bright outlook on life outside the office, especially in the past 5-6 years, which he spent with his loving wife Anne and adopted sons, Gabriel and Nicolas. At work, he was equally positive, and his subject matter knowledge and insight were relied upon and applauded by so many. We will miss his humor, good spirit and work ethic. He is simply irreplaceable. May God bless Mike, his wonderful family, and all those who mourn his loss.

Condolence From: Steve Harari
Condolence: Dear Anne, Gabe, Nick, Mr. Rill, Robin and other family members -- I went to Swarthmore with Michael, spent 6 weeks with him riding bikes across Europe during Summer 1981, and attended Michael and Anne's wedding where I saw you all in 2009?

I am so sorry for you all with Michael's unexpected death. He truly was one of the best friends I could ever hope for. I feel very blessed to have been his friend and will carry forever many fond memories and thoughts of him.

My prayers are with you all as you go through this difficult time and remember Michael -- he is one of the finest men I will ever know.

God bless you all,
Steve Harari
