Obituary for Michael Russell Rill

Michael Russell  Rill
Michael Russell Rill, 60, of Dickerson, MD passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at his home. Born January 23, 1955 in Hampstead, MD, he was the son of Russell L. Rill of Hanover, PA and the late Yvonne (Wolfe) Hill. He was the beloved husband of Anne Talbot Rill.

He was a graduate of Swarthmore College and received his Masters Degree from Columbia University. Michael worked for the U.S. Dept. of Commerce and was a dedicated federal civil servant for over 30 years. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed reading, working in his garden, and spending time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Gabriel and Nicolas of Dickerson, MD; sisters, Robin Warfel of Hampstead, MD, Karen Rajtar and husband Jason of Sammamish, WA, Penny Smith of Delta, PA, Sandy Herrmann of Shrewsbury, PA, Holly Thomas of New Freedom, PA; sister-in-laws, Ellen Talbot-Yashar of Clifton, VA, Helga Foulk and husband Rich of Blue Bell, PA, Janet Webster of Vancouver,Canada; mother-in-law, Helga Talbot and father-in-law, Peter Talbot of Media, PA. Also survived by 11 nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces and nephews and many other beloved family and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Shiloh U.M. Church, 3100 Shiloh Road, Hampstead, MD. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements by Eline Funeral Home, Hampstead, MD.
