Dear Luther and John, / My sincere condolences to you and your extended family for the recent passing of Anne. / Of course, both Luther and Anne were faithful members of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Salisbury for many years. Especially important to me, was Luther's and Anne's faithful participation in the Gunby Road Home Church which met every other week for many years. Anne was an integral part of that ministry. During our theological studies, Anne would sometimes comment on the subject matter using her particularly dry wit, and other times in plan speech she would be rather blunt, but her opinions and comments were always delivered from a kind heart and were always welcome. / On special occasions when we would gather for a meal, we all looked forward to Anne's specialty of baked beans. I also remember a cake or two that she generously contributed. / Most memorable, of course, was Anne's total devotion to her family, especially to her husband, Luther. She was a good wife for Luther and totally dedicated to his comfort and well being. / I am sure that I speak for all of us in the Gunby Road Home Church when I say that she will be remembered for many years with great affection. / Sincerely / John Sharpe
