In Memory of Kathleen Anne Leda
1956-2017

Kathy Leda, age 60, of Owings Mills, departed this world on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Northwest Hospital. Born April 29, 1956 in Baltimore City, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. Leda, Jr. and Miriam Hill Leda.

She lived with her parents until the age of 48. Upon the death of both Charlie and Miriam Leda. Kathy moved into her cousin’s residence until residential placement was secured with Progress Unlimited, Inc. in 2005. Kathy shared a residence with her beloved friends Carol Brooks, Eveline Lister and devoted caregiver Yalem Kebebew under the supervision of Diana Letzsch of Progress Unlimited, Inc.

For many years, Kathy enjoyed going to her parents second home in Whiteford, MD, where she could play in a large swimming pool. She also enjoyed the annual bust trip to Ocean City and attending the monthly meetings of the Sixth District Democratic Club of Baltimore County.

Surviving in addition to her sister Charlene Leda are her guardian’s Miriam and Valerie Cholewczynski, and many cousins and second cousins.

In accordance with her parents’ wishes, Kathy was cremated and buried alongside her parent’s urns in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial are suggested to Progress Unlimited, Inc. located at 11431 Cronhill Drive, Suite C, Owings Mills. Progress Unlimited, Inc. is a charitable organization whose caring staff makes life for special needs people much better.
