Barbara Ann  Warnken (Swartzfager)
Barbara Ann Warnken, nee Swartzfager, age 74 of Westminster, MD went to be with Jesus at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday the 3rd of May 2016, at the Dove House Hospice in Westminster.

She was born on Feb. 8, 1942 in Clarion, PA. She was a teacher's assistant at Riverview Elementary School before she and her family moved to Senegal, West Africa as missionaries in 1979. She spent 24 years there amongst the Baynouk people, learning their language and teaching them to read and write their own language to be able to read God's Word.

She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who always put the needs of others first.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 54 years, John Clark Warnken, and her children John Lee Warnken and his wife Tammy of Magna, UT and Laurie Ann Fyock and her husband Tim of Waukesha, WI. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, all of whom loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead. Funeral services will be at Hampstead Baptist Church, 328 Hanover Pike, Hampstead on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. with viewing 1 hour before.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made through Hampstead Baptist Church, P.O. Box 95, Hampstead, MD 21074, designated for New Tribes Bible Institute in Waukesha, WI.
