Obituary for William Ashby Lynch

William Ashby Lynch
William Ashby Lynch, age 73, passed away peacefully on April 1st, 2019. He is survived by his children, Dawn Taylor, Joshua, Nicholas and Ryan Lynch. Grandchildren Samuel, Samantha, Aubrey, Conner, Logan, Zayden, Colton, and Declan.

Bill grew up in Edgewater, MD and graduated from Annapolis School of Arts in 1965. Bill served in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1970. Bill was a member of Odenton Lodge #209 AF&AM and Chaplain of Gleason Lodge #330 F&AM. Bill attended Davidsonville Catholic Church as a deacon until the 1980s, later he attended Severn Christian Church in Glen Burnie before moving to Tennessee in 2010. While in Tennessee Bill found Bethel Baptist Church in McKenzie where he enjoyed filming the ministry every week. He would post his weekly recordings to YouTube for everyone to enjoy. Bill was always consistent in his love for the Lord and his desire to be an encouragement. Bill was a Christian who wanted to point others to Jesus.

Bill also enjoyed working with his hands, which is why he became a master electrician. But his skills didn’t stop at just being an electrician, Bill would volunteer for any handyman job in the community. He felt helping others was his way of giving back to the community. He made friends everywhere he went and even felt called to volunteer some of his time to minister at prisons. Bill so loved everyone, he believed in each and every person he met.
