Rev. Carroll M.  Brown Sr.
On March 30, 2015 Carroll M. Brown, Sr. (Brownie), retired Pastor, faithful servant of God, went home to the God he so loved. Brownie as he was known to almost everyone; is survived by two children, Carroll, Jr. and Joan Kines. Nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and his longtime companion Audrey Wolfe. He was preceded into heaven seventeen years ago by his wife of 50 years, Alice.
Brownie was a WWII veteran and a survivor of D-Day Invasion of Normandy. After having spent over 40 years in the construction industry at age 65, he ventured upon a new career as a local pastor in the United Methodist Church spending 14 years as the pastor at Wiseburg United Methodist Church. He then spent several more years as part time pastor at Falls Road Church and as a fill-in for vacationing pastors. One of his greatest loves was cutting the grass on his new John Deere tractor and wanted to get on the tractor the day before he passed away. He will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD on Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 3-8pm. A memorial service will be held at Wiseburg United Methodist Church, Friday, April 3, 2015 at 2pm. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wiseburg United Methodist Church, 810 Wiseburg Road, Whitehall, MD 21161. Online condolences may be made to www.ElineFuneralHome.com
