My Big Sister Nan

My dear sister Catherine Anne was for me a true "Big Sister" in every sense of the word.

She was less than ten years old when I was born in 1935. At that time, our parents were struggling to get a peach orchard started and dear Grace, our mother was needed in many ways to "work the farm". Therefore, Catherine Ann became my "little mother"; feeding, bathing and caring for me. She was kind and caring to me for all through my life.

Dear Catherine Anne went on in later life to become one of God's real life ministers of kindness, caring and love. She and Grafton opened their home and hearts every summer to our dear departed sister Ruth Esther's children, at a time when care and kindness meant so much. In addition, throughout her life, she gave her own children a good example of Christian love.

Many of her neighbor's have benefited from Catherine's kind ways also, she prepared and delivered many meals for home bound folks. As a believer in Jesus, she worked tirelessly for Mt Carmel Mehtodist Church's Missions and made a difference in many people's lives.

I have many lasting good memories of "Nan". I am priviledged to have had her as my "Big Sister", so much a part of many people's life.

With LOVE FOREVER,  Margaret Grace Hoffheiser Stenner
