Friends from Jersey

Words can not express the sadness we felt when we were given notice of Liz's passing. We are Liz and Jims friends from Jersey and we would see them whenever we were able to make it to Lincoln Speedway. They would either swing by our RV to say hi or we would stop by their seats in the stands to catch up. One thing that was always first and foremost in our conversations was the love for her family. She would give us updates on who was getting married or having babies or moving. Her pride in her family was obvious.

Her love of travel was also a topic of conversation and since we had travelling in our RV's in common, we would exchange places we had been and plans for the future. I only hope we get to see as much of the country as her and Jim  when we retire.

We  had a gathering every year of folks that met because of racing and she always brought her famous crock pot candy. It was always a big hit. No matter how many time she told us how to make it, we could never remember the recipe.

And feisty? Oh yes! Need I say more?

We feel blessed that this wonderful, generous woman crossed our path even for such a short time. It was an honor and delight to have known her and she will be missed, but fondly remembered every time we pull into Lincoln Speedway!
