Alexandra "Schura" Shriver, 91, of Hampstead, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 at her home. Born June 15, 1925 in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Fedot and Maria (Dolich) Schaforostowa. She was the beloved wife of Richard Eugene Shriver for almost 69 years. She was predeceased by 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

She had been a waitress and a homemaker and enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters, Maria Nettie McMahon of Hampstead and Lisa Carol Shriver-Lake and husband Michael of Gaithersburg; grandchildren Chris McMahon and fiance Amy Preis, Jen Davis and husband Robert, Kelly Wagner and husband Bronson, Karen Clark and husband Kevin, Jonathan Lake and Katerina Lake; and great grandchildren Brianna & Kasey Wagner and Jordyn & Madison Davis.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 19, 2017, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017, 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
