Lawrence L. ""Skeeter""  Lang Sr.
Lawrence L. "Skeeter" Lang, Sr., 88, of Manchester, passed away Friday October 7, 2016 at the Long View Health Care Center in Manchester.

Born July 18, 1928 in Snydersburg, he was the son of the late Calvin M. and Jane Ebaugh Lang. Twice widowed, he was the husband of the late Jennie M. Lockman Lang and Greta Wolbert "Dolly" Lang.

He was the retired owner of Lang's Used Auto Parts. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Snydersburg, the Loyal Order of Moose, Westminster Lodge #1381 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Westminster Aerie #4378. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing bingo at Boring and Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Companies and attending dances at the Moose Lodge.

Surviving are daughter, Mary J. and Robert Thompson of Manchester; son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence L., Jr. and Dawn Lang of Deal Island; grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and James Richards, Scott and Dana Mays, David and Paige Mays, Amber Dubrel and Ashley Lang; and nine great grandchildren. Also survived by a stepson and his wife, Neil and Donna McDaniel of Sykesville. He was predeceased by sisters Marie Richards, Mary McNelly, Clara Martin and brother Calvin Lang, Sr.

The family will receive friends Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael C. Adams officiating. Interment will be in Snydersburg Cemetery.
