Obituary for Henry John Horner III

Henry John  Horner III
Henry John Horner, III, 67, of Upperco, MD, passed away on August 25, 2016 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. Born December 10, 1948 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Henry and Cora (Stemmel) Horner.

He was a graduate of Frankin High class of 1967. Henry worked for over 30 years for the Social Security Administration as He was an honorary life-time-member of Boring Volunteer Fire C0 & a member of Arcadia Volunteer Fire Co. He enjoyed collecting "Hit & Miss" Engines and was a Director of the Maryland Steam Historical Society, Inc. His family remembers him as being truly dedicated to serving his community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his son, Henry Horner, IV and fiancee Dallas Walter of Upperco, MD; daughter, Ashley Crooks and fiance Matthew Burgan of Manchester, MD; former wife, Kimberly Athman of Westminster, MD; grandson, Mason Walter; sister, Carol Wheeler of FL, and nephew Jason Wheeler of Florida.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, MD. A service will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael C. Adams officiating.
