Jay Lee Palmer, 29, of Hampstead, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016. Born August 16, 1986, he was the son of Jeffrey L. Palmer and Debra (Lafferty) Strevig, both of Hampstead.

He was a 2004 graduate of North Carroll High School. Jay enjoyed golfing, the Ravens, the Orioles, the outdoors, and most of all his friends and family.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his brother, Derrick Palmer, wife Kellie, nieces Hayden and Blake Palmer of Manchester; grandmother, Betty Thompson of Hampstead; son, Parker Bowie; uncle, Allan Palmer, wife Kathy, cousins Brad and Danielle Palmer of Hampstead; and stepfather, Ricky Strevig of Hanover, PA.

He was predeceased by grandparents Glen and Audrey Lafferty.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 5, 2016, 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm at the Eline Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
