Obituary for Robert Stanley "Bob" Mozdzen Sr.

Robert Stanley "Bob"  Mozdzen Sr.
Robert Stanley Mozdzen, Sr, 74, of Owings Mills, MD, passed away on July 26, 2016 at the Dove House Hospice in Westminster, MD. Born November 13, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Regina (Karpurska) Mozdzen and the husband of the late Jo Ann Mozdzen who passed on April 11, 2016.
Bob served his country honorably as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army.
He also served in the Maryland State Police and provided protective services to a number of former Maryland Governors.
He was a member of VFW Post 160 and Commander/Founder of VFW Post 3648 and a member of American Legion Post 7.
He enjoyed stock car racing, playing/winning the lottery, watching pro-wrestling and old westerns and fishing and crabbing on the Severn River. Bob was an avid Orioles and Ravens fan while always remaining a diehard Steelers fan.
His family remembers him as a “teller of tall tales”. He would delight his grandchildren with stories of “Moo Cows”. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his parents, beloved wife Jo Ann Mozdzen; brother, Dennis Mozdzen.
Surviving are his four sons: Robert Mozdzen, Jr. and wife Deanna of Brooklyn, MD, Wayne T. Schultz, Jr. and wife Sharon of Glen Burnie, MD, Kenneth G. Schultz and wife Rene of Loudon, TN, Richard T. Mozdzen and wife Kim of Hanover, PA; four granddaughters: Amy Sandow, Karen Boone, Gianna Mozdzen, Denise Mozdzen; three grandsons: Adam Sandow, Joey Schultz, Nicky Apicella; three great-granddaughters: Karmen Boone, Kylie Thomas, Keira Ugaz; sister, Jerri Mozdzen Timpson of Pittsburgh, PA; and brother, Freddie Mozdzen of Louisville, KY.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016, from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, with a memorial service to take place at 7:30pm at Eline Funeral Home - 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, MD. Pastor Kristin Dubsky will officiate. Interment will be in Millers United Methodist Cemetery on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 11:00 am.
