Obituary for James Watson Beck Jr.

James Watson  Beck Jr.
James W. Beck, Jr., 90, of Sparks, MD died Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson. Born October 15, 1925 in Owings Mills, he was the son of the late James W. Sr. and Ella May Beck. He was the husband of Tracey A. Beck.

Mr. Beck was a carpenter and maintenance director with Oldfields School for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army in the 69th Battalion during World War II. He was a life member of Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company and past President of the Baltimore County Volunteer Firemen's Association. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion Post 200. His hobbies included woodworking.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Beck is survived by his daughters Diane Paulson of Cockeysville, Lois Dunbar of Reisterstown and Elaine Filippelli of Parkville and grandchildren Alexander Paulson, Eric Paulson, Elyse Caudill Corker, Taylor Dunbar, Emma Dunbar and Caitlin Sullivan.

Friends may call at the Eline Funeral Home 11824 Reisterstown Rd (@ Franklin Blvd.) on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 3-5 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016, 11am at the funeral home. Interment Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
