Virginia May Walsh, 88, of Hampstead, passed away Wednesday February 3, 2016 at her home.

Born December 17, 1927 in Hampstead, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Byerly and Erma Therit Myers. She was the wife of the late Carroll L. Walsh, who died in 1998.

Prior to retirement, she had worked as a billing clerk with Walsh Fuel & Supply. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Hampstead. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and playing bingo in the Senior Center.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Deborah Walsh and Ronald and Sandy Walsh, all of Manchester; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Tom Corbin of Manchester; brother, Dennis Myers of Upperco; sisters, Gladys Riley, Betty Feeser, and Sandra Higgins, all of Manchester and Dorothy Archer of Freeland, MD; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by brothers Robert, Richard, Edward, Larry and Donald Myers and by sisters Shirley Komornik, Patricia Dreschsler and Barbara Hossler.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday February 8, 2016, at the funeral home with her pastor, the Rev. Barbara M. Allen officiating. Interment will be in Shiloh United Methodist Cemetery, Hampstead.
