William Martin Gill, 82, of Welcome, MD, passed away on January 20, 2016 at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. He was born on October 22, 1933 in Worthington Valley, MD to the late Harry Ellsworth Gill and Sarah Frances Raver Gill. He was married to the late Mary Louise Gill.
He was a logistics manager with Bendix Field Engineering Corp and Tracor. He was born and raised around horses. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law Tina M. and Larry W. Gormley; grandchildren Megan, Lars and Erin Gormley; sisters Nancy Gill Ross and Jessie Gill Garver. Predeceased by siblings Frances Jackson, Thelma Hatfield, Gladys Brown, Joshua Gill, Rodger Gill, Harry Gill, Irvin Gill, Robert Gill, John Gill, Emma Gill, Marie Gill, Audrey Denmyer, Sarah Whitcomb and William Gill.
Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD on Thursday, January 28, 2016 2-4 & 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday , January 29, 2016, 10:30am at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment in Lake View Memorial Park.
