A Letter To Jean

Dear Jean,

So many wonderful memories,so many good times together. We met at Morgan State College. My room mate was Rae Gross from Towson and you two had attended school together. We became fast friends almost immediately. You were something else girl friend with your funny stories and those delicious three tier sandwitches that you shared with we starving campus students! And that laugh who could resist that laugh and that sense of humor ,and that engaging personality! Those were the fun days.

We were both English majors and enjoyed reading Berewolf,Shakespeare and Coleridge. We talked about clothes, boys and teachers. After college you helped my mother with my wedding reception at our church community room . Sometimes as the years passed we did not always see each other but we kept in touch. Yours was always the first  Christmas card I received. I knew all about the boys and how active you were with the school and community affairs.

In recent  years we met at school happenings like our 50th anniverary high school reunions. I visited with you  at the senior residence. You consoled on the loss of both my brothers.I will miss that smile. I will miss that laugh.  I will sorely miss the girl from Reistertown who loved life and Ms Georgeanne and her boys and her friends so very much.

Dearest Jean, you are with the angels now. You loved angels. My first Christmas card will still be from you. You will have your own wings at last and will be smiling down  at me!  Happy  Holiday in heaven!

                                                       Love Forever,   Trudy Dixon Green
