Obituary for Roy Ernest Snyder Jr.

Roy Ernest Snyder, Jr., “Bear”, (55), of Reisterstown, passed away on September 19, 2015 at his home. Mr. Snyder was born on December 23, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Roy Ernest Snyder, Sr. and Clara Lizor McMullen. He was the husband of Joann P. Snyder, his wife of 38 years.
Bear was not only an amazing Daddy and Poppy to his own children and grandchildren, but also to his children’s friends and their children, many of whom also called him Daddy and Poppy. His wife of almost 38 years was the love of his life and the most important person in the world to him. Anytime he was together with family and friends were the time he was the happiest he had ever been.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Snyder is survived by his daughters, Angela M. Snyder and her husband James P. Saunders of Reisterstown, Amanda L. Snyder of Reisterstown and Samantha J. Snyder of Reisterstown and his son Anthony E. Snyder of Reisterstown. Grandfather of Makayla Ellan-Marie, Jace Gregory-James and Sophia Grace Ann all of Reisterstown. Brother of Bernetta “Tiny” Fleishell and Margaret Young. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by his brothers Robert “Bobby” Snyder and Walter “Walt” Snyder.
Friends may call at Eline Funeral Home 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 3-5p.m and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 11:00am. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
