Obituary for Wenona L. "Nonie" Sirk (Talbert)

Wenona L. "Nonie"Sirk, 93, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the Carroll Lutheran Village, Westminster, MD. Born January 23, 1922 in Hampstead, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Eliza (Grimm) Talbert. She was the wife of the late James Sirk, who died in 2008.

Prior to retirement, she had been a clerk at Leggett's, a secretary at several car dealerships and worked in the dietary department at Long View Nursing Home. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Hampstead.

Surviving is a sister, Rosanna Strevig of Hanover, PA; brother-in-law, Charles E. Cooper of Westminster and a niece, Linda Jones of Taneytown, MD; nephew David Cooper of Glenville, PA and several great nieces and great nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sisters, June Talbert and Lucille Cooper and brothers James and Richard Talbert.

Visitation will be held at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead, on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Jimmie Schwartz officiating. Interment will be in Hampstead Cemetery.
