Obituary for Ronald E. Moon

Ronald Ellsworth Moon was welcomed into the arms of his Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 12, 2015, at the age of 83.

Born April 11, 1932, in Swanton, MD he was the loving husband of Rev. Margaret Moon, with whom he recently celebrated 37 years of marriage. He was the father of Rev. John M. Wunderlich, III and Kelly E. Grecco; grandfather of John M. Wunderlich, IV, Joshua Wunderlich, Ashley Grecco and Adam Grecco. He is also survived by brothers M. Morris Moon and Eugene Moon; and was predeceased by his brother Neil Moon.

Ronald served his country proudly as a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was last stationed at Lake Charles Air Force Base, Louisiana after which he was honorably discharged.
He was a member of the Westminster American Legion Post #31 and had been a member of the American Legion for over 50 years.

Ronald was employed by the State Highway Administration until his retirement in 1987. He was then employed by S. T. V. Lyons and the Wilson T. Ballard Co.

The family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 2901 Bloom Road (& Rt. 91), Finksburg, MD 21048 on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at Johnsville United Methodist Church, 11106 Green Valley Road, Union Bridge, MD 21791 on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 10am with his son, Rev. John M. Wunderlich, III officiating. Interment with military honors will be held at Lake View Memorial Park, Liberty Road, Sykesville, directly following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Johnsville United Methodist Church, Maintenance and Repair Fund, 11106 Green Valley Road, Union Bridge, MD 21791. Online condolences may be made at www.ElineFuneralHome.com
