Gertrud Zita Rinecker, 67, of Orange, Va., passed away on Saturday June 20, 2015 at the Long View Nursing Home in Manchester.

Born September 19, 1947 in Ettlingen, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Rudolf and Erna Kirchgassner. She was the wife of the late Col. Johann G. Rinecker, who died in 2011.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, hummingbirds, goldfinches and life on the lake. She loved being a wife, mother and "Oma."

Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Claudia and John Parisi of Williamstown, NJ, Andrea and Matthew Pfoutz of Manchester, Veronica and Craig Davidson of Williamston, SC, and Christina Rinecker and Lee Eaves of Manchester; grandchildren, Alyssa, Nicholas, Justin, Hannah, Taylor and Christopher. She is also survived by her siblings, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead. Interment in Arlington National Cemetery will be at a later date.
