Obituary for Dorothy Preston

Dorothy Joan Preston, 76, of Hampstead, died suddenly on Wednesday February 25, 2015 at the Carroll Hospital Center. Born May 19, 1938 in Baltimore County, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy (Brown) Hoover. She was predeceased by husbands Robert L. Deale and Robert Preston.

She was a graduate of Milford Mill High School. She was a member of Hampstead Senior Center and Falls Road United Methodist Church. She enjoyed music and dancing and loved her Scottie, Rosie. She always loved to interact with people.

Surviving are daughters, Robbin L. Miller and her husband Thomas J. of Manchester and Judy M. Troyer of Delta, PA; granddaughter, Julie R. Bankert of York, PA; grandsons, Brandon L. Deale of Hampstead, Robert L. Troyer of Delta, PA, and Jon H. Troyer of Delta, PA; sister, Doris A. Rhoten of Westminster, and brother, Harry A. Hoover of Sparks.

Friends may call at the Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead on Friday from 3-5:00 and 7-9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. O.F. Bud Kibbe officiating. Interment will be in Falls Road U.M.C. Cemetery at a later date.
