Obituary for Michael Joseph Pantliano

On November 2, 2012 Michael Joseph Pantliano loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 101. He was born on September 23, 1911 to Rosa Pettrizzi and Michele Pantliano in New York City. He was the last sibling of a family of 12. Michael met his wife, Isabelle, on April 1, 1951 and was married on April 27, 1952. They had one daughter, JoAnne, who has been a joy to their life. Michael left New York City in October 1939 to accept federal employment with the Social Security Administration in Baltimore, MD. Isabelle and JoAnne joined him in Baltimore in October 1958. Most of Michael’s employment was with the Social Security Administration, after 40 years of service he took early retirement in 1975. He is a veteran of World War II. He held the rank of Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Force and was honorably discharged in October 1947. Michael never liked being the center of any attention. He’d rather be in the background. He was very fond of the theatre. He was a great movie fan all his life. He liked traveling to different states in the U.S., mostly Florida. In later years he especially liked taking ship cruises with his wife and daughter. He is survived by his wife, Isabelle, and daughter, JoAnne, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday 10am at Sacred Heart Church in Glyndon. Interment will be at Druid Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 3 – 5pm and 7 – 9pm at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Rd. (at Franklin Blvd).
