Condolence From: G. Michael Schlee
Condolence: I am truly saddened to learn of Mark's passing and my deepest condolences and prayers are with his wife and family. In the two decades that I worked with Mark, his dedication to our service members and veterans was without equal. His constant enthusiasm was contagious and I will miss those Mark bear hugs. His mark was made in the Nation's Capital City and will be remembered. Rest well good friend.

Condolence From: John Bradley
Condolence: Mark was a good man, and very dedicated to the active duty personnel and veterans issues he championed, including guaranteeing that military personnel on duty overseas kept and exercised their right to vote. I was always struck with his dry and great sense of humor whenever I met with him, whether at the VA, on Capitol Hill or here at DAV. He was ever the optimist. I will miss Mark. He is a true loss to this community. I hope the family is comforted in knowing he made a difference in the lives of millions of veterans who never had the pleasure of meeting him.

Condolence From: Hershel Gober
Condolence: Mark was a dear and long time friend. He was respected by all who knew him. He was one of the greatest advocates for his fellow citizen and especially for veterans and their families. I shall miss Mark everyday but I am a better man for having known him and shared our friendship. Hershel Gober
