Obituary for Zbigniew Rembiszewski
It is with great sadness for the Rembiszewski Family to announce the sudden and unexpected loss of Zbigniew (Zbyszek/Ziggy) Rembiszewski, on October 14, 2020. Zbyszek was a devoted husband to his wife Wiesia, a loving father to his daughter Mariola, son Kamil, and daughter-in-law Katherine, and a doting grandfather to grandson Maxwell. This heartbreaking news comes as a shock to his family and friends who will remember him for his industrious spirit, generous heart, and his unwavering love for family.
Zbyszek was tireless in his pursuit of creating a better life for his family. His wife and two children were always his top priority. After leaving his native country of Poland at the age of 29, he moved his family to the United States where he envisioned a life of prosperity. His practical, no-nonsense approach to hard work coupled with his dedication to his wife and kids, provided a college educations for both children and the beautiful home he now leaves to his wife.
On October 1, 2018, Zbyszek’s life took a joyous turn with the birth of his grandson Maxwell. All of his hard work and dedication rewarded him with a miniature version of himself. Both spirited and willful, no one could deny the love, affection, and bond between these two companions. With Max, Zbyszek was always smiling, laughing and playing. No one could remember a time he was more happy or content. For Maxwell, he not only lost a grandfather, but a future of countless loving memories with an irreplaceable friend and mentor.
Zbyszek had a passion for traveling. He had a fondness for tropical destinations and for Costa Rica in particular. He loved the warm, tropical weather, the fresh fruit, and the Costa Rican coffee. He had dreams of eventually moving to Costa Rica and living out his retirement in paradise with his wife, Wiesia by his side. Zbyszek and Wiesia have shared 40 loving years together and would have celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on October 24th, the day of his memorial service.
Although his family deeply mourns the devastating loss of a husband, father, and grandfather, they also celebrate the rich life and legacy he leaves behind. His family, friends and community will remember his contributions with admiration and gratitude, and will serve as inspiration to live each day with purpose and perseverance.
The Memorial Service for Zbigniew Rembiszewski will be held on October 24, 2020 at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Ln, Reisterstown, MD, 21136.
