Obituary for Wylie Laughlin "Mike" Ritchey Jr.
On January 29, 2021 Wylie “Mike” Laughlin Ritchey, Jr. passed away in Hampstead, MD. He was the husband of the late Linda (nee Staley) Ritchey; father of Michael G. Ritchey & wife Lisa and Patrick S. Ritchey and wife Christel; brother to the late Joan Childs and the late Henry Lewis; grandfather of Kate Webster and her husband Allan, Matt Ritchey, Melissa Ritchey, Anna Ritchey, Natalie Ritchey, Shelby Miller and her husband Tim, Chelsey Widener, Elizabeth Widener, Samantha Lopez, Michael Lopez, Andrew Lopez, & Nicholas Lopez; great grandfather of Kamryn Miller. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mike was a life member and past president of the Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Department and member and past president of the 4th District Democratic Club of Baltimore County. He was also a member and past treasurer of the Hampstead Lions Club. He was an avid fan of his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Graveside services will be held Friday, February 5, 2021 at 11am at All Saints Cemetery in Reisterstown. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
