Obituary for Thomas Charles Lane

Thomas Charles Lane, age 53, passed away on October 26, 2022 in Franklin, Pennsylvania.Born on September 28, 1969 in Portsmouth Virginia, he was the son of William C. Lane, III and the late Linda Rigney Lane.

Tom, throughout his childhood, enjoyed his studies and being an athlete. After finishing High School, he joined the Army, served 4 years, and then started a family and embarked on a career in Real Estate in Baltimore, Maryland. In more recent years, while living in Pennsylvania, Tom embraced his hobby of running and became an Ultra Marathon Runner. His races were 100 mile challenges, and Tom loved the physical accomplishment, and the community of his fellow runners. During Tom’s military career, he was a very proud US Army Ranger and served in Special Operations. Being a part of this Elite group of soldiers that defended the United States of America gave him deep pride. Tom traveled all over the world protecting our way of life. Tom loved being a soldier and the Army.

In addition to his father, he is also survived by 4 children; Thomas Lane, Jr., Sydney Lane, Bennett Lane and Trevor Lane and their mother Hope Greenlee. He is also survived by his brother Michael Lane and his wife Kathy and their sons, Griffin and Connor and by many fellow friends and soldiers. Tom's family would like to extend their appreciation to Marilyn Kingston of the VA. The family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, Maryland 21136 on Friday from 6-8 pm, and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Reisterstown.
