Obituary for Thomas Franklin Hammersla
Thomas Franklin Hammersla, 90, of Essex passed away on September 17, 2020. He was born on January 15, 1930 in Maryland to the late George Sr. and Estelle (nee Fletcher) Hammersla. He was married to the late Thelma I. (nee Turnbaugh) Hammersla.
Thomas was a delivery driver for Schmidt’s Bakery for over 30 years. He was also a US Marine Veteran.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Brenda F. and Todd W. Stratemeyer and his two granddaughters Courtney Lynn (Dexter Fortune) and Caitlin Nicole (Jeremiah Lanning), Siblings George Hammersla, Jr., James Chaney, & Estelle Corse, and good friend Betty Pillsbury. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Memorial service to be scheduled at a later date. Interment private.
