Obituary for Theodore G. Hart
Theodore Gerald Hart, age 88, went to the Lord on September 1, 2021.
Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Charles and Katherine Hart and husband to Jacqueline (Jackie) Hart for 65 years. Ted was predeceased by Jackie who passed August 2021.
Ted was a 1951 graduate of Calvert Hall College High School and attended Towson University. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1955 and saw duty in Korea. He was an employee of Verizon for 40 years, having started his communications career with C&P Telephone in 1951.
Ted and Jackie married in 1955 and raised four children: Michael (Becky), Randy (Amy), Ted (Cindy) and Linda (Jim) in Reisterstown, MD. They were predeceased by their son Michael. They retired to The Villages in Florida and enjoyed many social activities and friends. Ted was an avid traveler, golfer and card player. He greatly enjoyed his family, including 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was a lifelong devout Catholic.
They moved to the Charlestown Sr. Community in 2018 and were happy to be close to family and Baltimore area friends.
The family will celebrate Ted’s life with a funeral service at Eline Funeral Home in Reisterstown on September 27th at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at The Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.
