Obituary for Teresa Margaret (O'Toole) Sanders
Teresa M. Sanders passed away at her home on November 16, 2019. Teresa was born in Clinton, Massachusetts to the late Peter O'Toole and Mary (nee Davitt) O'Toole and was one of 9 children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Douglas J. Sanders, D.D.S.
Teresa was a graduate of Salem State Teachers College (now University) with a Bachelor's degree in Business Education. As a high school teacher and coach, she coached the first women's basketball team to play at the Boston Garden. Teresa taught briefly when her children were in school and later assisted her husband in his dental practice.
Teresa was a devout Catholic who attended Mass regularly and was proud that two of her brothers were priests. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, politics, sports and visits with her family.
She was a devoted wife and mother and is survived by her 7 children, 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 nieces and 1 nephew.
Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 23, 2019, 11am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 101 Church Lane, Pikesville, MD 21208. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery
