Obituary for Shirley Jane Stratton (Needles)
On June 24, 2020 Shirley Jane Stratton, of Reisterstown passed away. Beloved wife of the late William John Stratton. Mother of David Robert Stratton and his wife Monica, Linda Louise Stratton, and Richard James Stratton and his wife Celeste. Grandmother of James Stratton and his wife Sarah, Thomas Stratton and Elliot Stratton. Sister of the late Elizabeth Latch and her late husband William and sister in law of Dorothy Horner and her late husband Zane.
Shirley dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She wore many hats including life in the work force, starting out as a secretary where she met her beloved Bill and ending her career working at her favorite store; the local Hallmark where she received a 40% discount on all merchandise!
Hobbies included sewing, crafts, playing the piano, and collecting family memories through photography and the curation of numerous photo albums.
Shirley's pastime was doting on her grandkids including her four-legged ones whom she also adored. She was actively involved with churches and local communities, initiating fund raising activities and providing meals and essential items to those in need. Her kind and generous spirit was inspirational to all who knew her.
Family will receive friends on Friday, July 3, 2020 3-5 & 7-9pm at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road. Reisterstown, MD 21136
