Obituary for Ruth H. Kings

Ruth H Kings, 91, of Baltimore Maryland, passed away on April 3, 2020, at Sunrise Assisted Living of
Pikesville.

She was born to the late Charles and Edna Kirschner, on July 23, 1928, in Baton Rouge. Louisiana. She
attended Louisiana State University where she met her husband, Leonard Kings.

She was married to Leonard Kings in 1947 where they lived in Alexandria Virginia for 61 years. Ruth is
survived by her three children and spouses: Katherine Kings, Charles and Debra Kings, of Baltimore MD
and Douglas and Janet Kings of Coppell TX. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Theresa Kings,
Michael Kings, Amanda Kings, Patricia Jones and Beverly McGrath. Ruth was predeceased by her loving
husband. Leonard in 2008.

Ruth was an extremely kind and caring person who put her children above all else. Whether she was
running us to band or choral practice, Dr appointments, attending school activities or making sure we
had a hot meal before she dropped us off at a part time job, she was the glue that kept the family
together. Ruth was also a confidant that could get you through any situation in life. She passed her
strong morals, values and work ethic onto her children. Ruth was also a devout Catholic with a strong
faith in God, and enjoyed going to daily mass, serving communion and helping people in the
congregation. She loved musicals, long walks on the beach and singing while she worked around the
house.

During these extraordinary times, the Catholic church is not holding any masses. She will be buried at
Quantico National Cemetery on 4/14/2020.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the Alzheimer’s foundation or the American Heart Association.
