Obituary for Raymond E. Kuter

Raymond E. Kuter, 71, Reisterstown, MD, died Sunday September 4th. He was born to the late John and Jeannette Kuter, November 8, 1950, in Philadelphia, PA. Ray graduated from Bishop McDevitt High school in 1968. He married Barbara Locket Kuter August 31, 1974, they lived together in Roslyn, PA, before relocating to Reisterstown, MD. Ray served in the Army from 1969-1973 where he served in the Special Services Unit in Ethiopia. He was a patrol officer and detective at Abington Township, PA, March 1973-April 1984. He then became a Montgomery County, PA, detective where he worked undercover in Narcotics, investigated sex crimes against children and was a Forensic Computer Examiner. Ray was the 1st certified Forensic Computer Examiner in Montgomery County. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 116, Reisterstown, Md, where he served as Sergeant at Arms. He was a car enthusiast, especially MOPAR. He was a member of car clubs: Down the Road Cruisers, Mopar Mailing List and the Mid Atlantic Chrysler Owners Club.
Ray is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter Karen Kuter Cardone (Ryan); grandchildren Alex and Samantha Cardone; two brothers Shaun Kuter (Lisa); James Kuter (Elaine); two sisters Mary Coyne (James), and Jeannette Bruce (Timothy); many “adoptive kids” (you know who you are), numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 9th at 4-7PM, with a presentation by the American Legion Post 116 at 6:30 PM and a Catholic service at 7PM. The services will take place at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown, Md 21136.
There will be a celebration of life at the American Legion, Post 116 on Friday, September 9th in the evening at 8:00. All are invited. Thank you, Barbara Kuter.
