Obituary for Ramon Durano Rodriguez

On March 27, 2020, Ramon Durano Rodriguez passed away unexpectedly in his home. He was 61 years old.

Ramon was born on October 18, 1958 in the city of Manila, Philippines. He was the son of the late Oscar and Lydia Durano Rodriguez. He migrated to the United States in 1988 and became a resident of Brooklyn, New York. He later relocated with his wife and daughter to Owings Mills, Maryland, where he resided until his passing.

Ramon was an avid car enthusiast, a hobby he began to share with his daughter at a young age. When not working on cars, he was very involved with his daughter’s riding team. Ramon was very tech savvy and owned a collection of robotic toys. He also had a creative interest in cooking and loved to prepare weekly meals for his family. In his free time, Ramon participated in volunteer work at local catholic churches.

Ramon loved taking long distance road trips with his family, almost always with fishing gear in tow. His most recent trip was made from Maryland to Florida in December 2019.

Ramon is predeceased by his parents and his older sister, Roweena Durano Rodriguez.

Ramon is survived and will be forever cherished by his wife, Geraldine “Girlie” (née Adlawan); daughter and only child Aiana Cerezo (née Rodriguez) and son-in-law Milton Cerezo; younger sister Rosanna Ogden (née Rodriguez) and brother-in-law John Ogden, and older brother Oscar, Jr. and sister-in-law Ditas P. Rodriguez; in-laws Camilo and Victoria A. Adlawan; and his miniature Australian shepherd, Remington.
