Pete was a great man, coworker and more important wonderful friend. He was a big part of my day to day for many years, always willing to help anyone with whatever was needed. I miss him, our talks are what I miss most. Even on the most stressful or busiest of days he would come sit in my office listen to me vent, then in his calm tone tell me "okay, we will figure this out".
I will miss his intelligence, he was an expert with our systems especially and I always admired him for that. I miss his humor, his smile and his laugh. Pete loved Becky and their family so much, I feel like I know them all so well through his stories. If you wanted to see him light up just get him talking about those grand babies who he loved dearly or a trip he and Becky were taking.
To Becky and his family - I cannot imagine the grief you are all facing with the sudden loss of your husband, son, father, grandfather. "I hope that in the midst of your loss you can enjoy and celebrate the memories"
To Pete, my friend, my right hand in so many ways - This still does not seem real, I keep expecting you to walk through my office door or call to tell me a story or something crazy "my cats" as you would say, did. I think about calling you or think of something to tell or ask you ten times a day and then realize I cannot. I hope you knew how much I appreciated you, how proud of you I was for things you faced and how much I cared for and loved you. We had a true friendship that I will miss dearly. Sometimes you don't realize how close you are to someone until they are gone, so I pray you knew how I felt.
"Death is merely a door separating where we are, from where we are going"
I will see you on the other side of that door one day and we will sit down, share memories and laugh together again... and maybe even sip on a little Gin and Juice.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Peter, he was a friend to me always and willing and eager to help no matter what his own situation was, and with a smile and charming wit. He is one of the greatest people I known and am missing our talks that most often was not work related, I consider him my friend. He will me missed by many.
