On Oct.7, 2021, Olin Sampson passed away at the age of 86. He is survived by his son Galen Sampson and daughter-in-law Bridget Sampson and daughter Jacinda Sampson and son-in-law Glendon Parker. Born in Hardin county, Iowa, to a farming family, Olin was the first of his family to attend college. He earned degrees in Agricultural Engineering from Iowa State and Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. He served in the Army 1958-1959. He was married to Georgia Belle Walley for 51 years, who departed this life in 2015. Olin was a longtime resident of Reisterstown, Maryland, and retired from Western Electric (later AT&T).

The family will hold a private graveside service this week. A virtual memorial for friends and family will be arranged by Eline Funeral Home for early November.
