On October 25, 2022, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Schutte) Reter passed away. She was the wife of the late Calvin Leroy Reter. Betty was born to the late Veda Elizabeth (nee Gordon) and Frank Joseph Schutte on May 23, 1936 in Baltimore. She is survived by her children, Vicki M. Yarnell and her husband Patrick, Brad L. Reter and his wife Kathy, and Suzanne V. Brown and her husband John; grandchildren, Sheena Housman and her husband Brian, Sean Yarnell and his wife Katie, Shannon Yarnell and Steve Bowers, Joseph Reter and his fiancé Maddie Moritz, Andrew Reter, Kristina and Kevin Brown. Betty is also survived by a sister- in-law, Nancy Stocksdale and nine great-grandchildren, Keira, Olyvia, Aida, Avery, Aubrey, Ashlynn, Landon, Blake and Alayna. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Charles J. Schutte.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 11804 Reisterstown Rd., Reisterstown, MD 21136. A funeral mass will be on Monday, October, 31, 2022 at 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 63 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD 21071. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2800 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, MD 21048.
