Obituary for Lucy Gae Kemp

Lucy Gae Kemp, 64, of Sykesville, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 3, 2022. Lucy was born on August 3rd, 1957, to the late Lucy and Floyd Peterson Jr., in Baltimore, Maryland. Lucy was known to spend hours in her pool in the summertime, she also had a love for her huskies, also known as her “Blue-eyed boys.” She enjoyed crocheting and baking her yearly pumpkin pies from scratch. Lucy would often take trips to the Sweet Simplicity Tea Shop where she would have her beloved teatime. Most of all, Lucy loved being a Grammy to her 4 grandsons.

Lucy is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Charles E. Kemp, Jr., her daughter, Amanda N. Cegielski, son-in-law, Eric and her grandsons, Eric, Dylan, Anthony, and Mason; brothers, Floyd Peterson III, Matthew Peterson; sisters, Leslie Parks, and Lori Kunkel, along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and her sister, Debra Gunter.

The family will receive visitors at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, Maryland 21136, Friday, January 7th, 2022, 3-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 8th, 2022, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville, Maryland.
