Obituary for Leroy Edward "Roy" Horn

On October 30, 2021, Leroy “Roy” Edward Horn, went home to be with the
LORD.

Roy was born on June 4, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Leroy E. Horn,
Sr. and Doris Y. (Hill) Horn.

Roy attended Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Southern High
School in 1962. He started working at an early age selling newspapers and working
in grocery stores. After volunteering at a Baltimore City Fire Station, Roy decided
to become a firefighter. At age 21, Roy graduated from the Baltimore City Fire
Academy. He went on to serve 10 years with the Department.

In 1971, he and an associate established F& H Roofing Company in Baltimore
City. The roofing company served the community for 25 years. After relinquishing
the company, Roy worked in the roofing industry until his retirement from Tecta
America in Jessup in 2012.

Roy began his Christian journey at Epworth United Methodist Church in Baltimore
County in 1986. He continued to serve in the Methodist faith as a member in good
standing. He was former President of the United Methodist Men at Epworth UMC
and former Trustee Board member at Milford Mill UMC.

In 1987, Roy wed Melvina. To this union a “blended” family was formed with two
children, Denise and Sean, Sr. This union celebrated its 34th year on October 3.
Roy LOVED his family. He also enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, and
collecting fire memorabilia.

Roy leaves to cherish his loving memories, his devoted wife, Melvina Robinson-
Horn; a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Darren Domingo; a son, Sean
Robinson, three grandchildren, Delaney Domingo, Sean Robinson, Jr., and
Charlotte Robinson; one great grandson, DaSean Robinson and a host of relatives
and friends.

Friends may call at Eline Funeral Home 11824 Reisterstown Road (at Franklin Blvd.)
on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 10-11am. Funeral Services will be at 11:00am
at the funeral home. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
