Obituary for Leonard F. Gmeiner
Leonard F. Gmeiner, 90, of Owings Mills, MD passed away on April 8, 2021. He was born on May 28, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Ambrose E. and Cecilia R. (nee Ficchi) Gmeiner. He was married to Patricia Elliott-Gmeiner.
Mr. Gmeiner was an administrator with the Department of Health and Hygiene, an Army veteran, and an avid history buff, especially the Civil War.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Elliott-Gmeiner, children Roxanne Dean of Glen Rock, PA, Lenore Callahan (Neil) of Gulf Port, FL, Sheila Gmeiner of Tallahassee, FL, George Gmeiner of Sykesville, MD, Ambrose Gmeiner (Kelly) of Bayville, NJ and Jennifer Perkovich of Joppa, MD; grandchildren Bronwynn of Eugene, Oregon, Rhianna of Philadelphia, PA, Brennan (Kathy) of Frederick, MD, Paulina of Joppa, MD, Gabriella of Bayville, NJ, Garrett of Sykesville, MD, Jensen of Joppa, MD and Brayden of Sykesville, MD; great grandchildren Maize, Rosie, Naula, Rosalie and Ava Grace; sister Philamena Kistler of Ottawa, Ohio; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Rita Algeo and Sr. Therese Gmeiner, IHM
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 1pm to 4pm at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136. Service at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
