Obituary for Lavon L. Strubin (Fletcher)
Lavon L. Strubin, née Fletcher, 77, of Manchester, passed away peacefully at home on July 6, 2022.
Born March 7, 1945 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Mabel Fletcher. She was the wife of David Strubin; they were married for 59 years.
Surviving are her children Kim Wengert and husband David, Kelly Leonardi and husband Larry, and Kerry Shortall and husband Drew; two grandsons, Zachary Leonardi and wife Tracey, and Nicholas Leonardi; and great-granddaughter Abigail Leonardi; sister of Mary Rorke, Carol Turnbaugh, and Sandra Naylor. She was preceded in death by brothers Edward Fletcher, Bill Fletcher, and Doug Fletcher. Lavon is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Lavon loved her family dearly; and was willing to make any sacrifice for them. She worked as a housekeeper for many years, tending house and cooking meals for many a notable CEO and socialite. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She enjoyed taking day trips with her family.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 11, 2022 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm at Eline Funeral Home, Hampstead, MD. Service will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, 10am at the Eline Funeral Home Hampstead. Interment will be in Hampstead Cemetery.
