Joseph Carl Durishin left this world on 5 July 2022 at the age of 89 after a long and full life. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend who's warmth, humor, and generosity will be missed by all he encountered during his wonderful life. Joseph grew up in Tresckow, PA and graduated from Wilkes Barre College. Joseph was drafted in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne Division (" The Screaming Eagles``), serving in Southeast Asia in the Korean War. He was subsequently discharged with honors following the war. He married Eleanor Fratrick (in 1959), and was happily married for 57 years prior to her passing. Joseph worked for Del Monte Corporation for over 30 years as a successful sales manager, acquiring numerous awards and distinctions. He was an avid golfer who loved both the sport and the camaraderie of golfing partners and organizations. Joseph Durishin's special gift of sincere interest, empathy, and compassion for everyone he encountered will be his lasting legacy. Joseph is survived by his brother Raymond Durishin (wife Marge), his four children and their spouses; Joseph Durishin (wife Karen), Karen Michael (husband David), Gary Durishin (wife Niki), Tracey Forster ( husband Matthew), and one granddaughter Chloe Durishin.
