John William Chattin of Reisterstown, MD passed away peacefully in his home on February 26, 2022. He was 90. He is survived by his son Christopher Brian Chattin of Columbia, MD and daughter Jonda Jean Summerhill of Reisterstown, MD as well as 4 grandsons Hunter Summerhill, Shane Summerhill, Anders Chattin and Mats Chattin. John was born in Mason City, WV on July 24, 1931 and was the son of John Andrew and Stella Batterson Chattin. He was a graduate of Marshall College in Huntington, WV and is a U.S. War Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 until 1954 during the Korean War. John worked for Social Security Administration, a branch of the U.S. Federal Government, for 36 years and retired in 1996. His wife Thelma Jean Chattin passed away in 2005. Friends and family are welcome to attend a graveside Eulogy for John on Thursday March 3, 2022 at 11:00AM at All Saints Cemetery located at 84 Bond Avenue in Reisterstown, MD.
