Obituary for Janice Elaine Owings
On April 21, 2022, Janice Elaine Owings of Hampstead, Maryland bravely passed-on from this world after a lengthy illness due to cancer. Born on September 24, 1951, and raised in Reisterstown, Maryland, Janice was the daughter of the late Clinton Rawlings Owings and Dolores Elaine Owings (nee Mitchell). She is survived by sister and brother-in-law Darlene and Stephen Schultz, sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Russell Thompson and her beloved nephews and nieces. She was pre-deceased by her brother Ronald Owings.
After graduating from Franklin High School in 1969, Janice entered the business world as a clerk with C&P Telephone company in Hunt Valley, Maryland. She remained with the phone company, later known as Verizon, and worked with near-perfect attendance until her retirement 40 years later.
Janice most enjoyed family gatherings, world-travel, roller skating at Sportsman Hall, trivia-nights, Nascar and football.
The family will receive friends at Eline Funeral Home in Reisterstown located at 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD. 21136, on Tuesday, April 26th, 2022, from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
