Obituary for Howard Joseph Pease Sr.
Howard Joseph Pease, Sr., 72, of Hampstead, MD passed away on March 23, 2023 at his home. Born on August 5, 1950 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Howard and Bernadette (Grace) Pease. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Cindy Pease, and nephew Shane Keppley.
Howard was a United States Veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was the head foreman for Delta Contractors LLC for many years. He used his skills to build the home him and his wife, Barbara, live in today.
Howard loved to go fishing and crabbing. He often enjoyed riding his beloved Harley’s and playing guitar. Howard was a practical joker, often telling someone a good ‘Dad’ joke. He never failed to make someone laugh, especially with his infectious laugh.
He was kind to everybody and could make a friend wherever he went. He was like a magnet to people, striking up a conversation whenever and wherever. He was most importantly a beloved husband and father who will be forever missed.
Howard is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Pease; two daughters, Laura Schisler of Littlestown, PA, Emily Pease of Ft. Myers, FL; son, Joseph Pease, Jr. of Hampstead, MD; four sisters, Bernadette Huston (Lee), Phyllis Wolfe (Jim), Rose Revere (Paul), and Angela Keppley (Kelly); three brothers, Robert Pease (Pat), Edward Pease (Robyn), Larry Pease; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends who stuck by his side till the end.
In accordance with Howard’s wishes, there will be no formal visitation or service. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
