On September 10, 2022, Hazel Monalee Melton passed away. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Joseph Melton. Hazel was born on December 21, 1935 in Ohio, to the late Gertrude (nee Phillips) and Clyde Carr. She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia M. Ellenberger, sister-in-law, Deborah Baker, two brothers-in-law, Thomas and his wife Nancy Melton and Kenneth W. and his wife Sharon Melton and a dear friend, Kerri Ebelein. Hazel is also survived by six nieces, Nancy Beaverson, Elizabeth Hughes, Dorothy Wynne, Katherine Patterson, Tracey Moore, Mary Puzzietello; seven nephews, Lt. Col. Monroe A. Bradley, Robert J. Bradley, Sr., Michael A. Bradley, Richard Bradley, Brian M. Baker, Christopher Melton, Justin Melton; 16 great nieces and nephews and by numerous others. She is preceded in death by one nephew, Leslie C. Bradley.
Hazel loved her life, her extended family and traveling. She adored her dogs, Puddles and Jethro. She enjoyed hosting exchange students, working at the YWCA and eating out with dear friends and simply being a loving, thoughtful, caring, affectionate friend and lady.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136. A funeral service will begin at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117.
