Obituary for Ethan Michael Thomas Kowanic
Ethan Michael Thomas Kowanic, 25 of Reading, PA, beloved son of Michael and Kathleen Kowanic passed away quietly in his sleep Friday, June 24, 2022. Ethan was preceded in death by his grandparents Thomas & Eugenia Golladay and Paul & Wanda Kowanic. Ethan was the brother of Emma Kowanic. He adored his niece, Olivia Waddell and nephews, Knox Ferrante and Tripp Ferrante. He was the nephew of Paul Kowanic and Jeff & Morgan Hobbs and cousin to Bailey Burke. Ethan is also survived by his childhood friends, Tyler and Brooke Ritter and Mike Pindell.
Born in York, PA, on April 12, 1997, Ethan grew up in Sebastian FL where he made long time friends. His smile and kindness to people and animals were genuine. He wouldn’t hesitate to pay for someone’s groceries with his last five dollars, or to help out a stranger with yard work and do what he could to rescue an animal.
Ethan moved back to PA in 2019 and worked at Apple Valley Creamery in East Berlin until moving to Reading with friends, Tyler Ritter and Mike Pindell.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 02, 2022 at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Rd., Reisterstown, MD, 21136 from 11 am to 12 pm, where a funeral service will begin at 12 pm. A burial will follow in procession to Druid Ridge Cemetery.
