Obituary for Elizabeth Mary King
Elizabeth “Liz” or “Sis” Mary King, 77, of Owings Mills, MD passed away on February 14, 2021 at her home. She was born on May 5, 1943 in Baltimore, MD to the late Hugo and Louise (Nee Chester) Ferro.
She had worked as a medical secretary with her coworkers who she loved. She was affectionately called “Memaw” by her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Jeff King and his wife Beth, daughter Michele Gawryluk and her husband Andrew, and daughter Kristin Baccala; grandchildren Kierstin Pastrana (Darren), Hayley Knopf (Ryan), Hollis King, Andrew John II, Ryan, Lukas, Ethan Gawryluk and Ava and Joseph Baccala; great grandchildren Tanner, Brody and Kinsley Pastrana; brother William “Billy” King and his wife June “Tootsie”. Predeceased by sister Marlene Lookingbill and brother Frank Ferro.
She loved spending her free time watching Hallmark movies or spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nothing gave her more joy than her “grandbabies”. She attended Sacred Heart Church in Reisterstown. Liz looked forward to visiting her daughter and grandkids down south in Charleston. She loved watching her grandchildren at all sporting events, dances/ plays, and graduation.
Liz was the rock of our family and she worked very hard to give all she could to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Due notice will be given.
