Obituary for Deanna W. Sies (Wolfing)
Deanna W. Sies, 80, of Manchester, MD passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the BridgingLife Dove House in Westminster, MD.
Born October 5, 1942 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Walter Wolfing and Mary Helen (née Dey) Wolfing. She was the wife of John F. Sies.
Mrs. Sies had worked in antique shops. She was a former manager of the NESAP clothing thrift store. She attended Wesley United Methodist Church, where she was a member and longtime secretary of United Methodist Women. She also helped in the church office and was always willing to lend a hand with any church activities. She looked forward to Aunt Rachel's Bible studies and Christmas Eve at Aunt Wilma and Uncle Joe's home. She missed her beloved Bichon, Tess, who passed away last March.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her son, Dean T. Sies of Baltimore, MD and her sister, Charlotte Smith of Hanover, PA.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3239 Carrollton Road, Hampstead, MD. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
